To set Safari 7 to trust the Adobe Reader plug-in to run on all websites. In the address bar at the top of the screen, type chrome://plugins/ 7. In the window that opens, click the link that says Enable under the Adobe Reader plugin. NOTE: This may be enabled already. Relaunch Chrome.
Hi, Experts, We are trying to run SAP Portal service, that contains an Adobe reader plug-in, on a MacBook within a differeint web browsers (Safari, FireFox, Chrome) but still we receive message about: 'Adobe reader plug-in not installed or enabled'. According to notes 2355699 and 1918612 Google Chrome and Mozilla FireFox are not supported to use Interactive Forms by Adobe on a MacBook, instead note 2233105 says that there is a possibility to run those forms in Safari browser: Following Browser / Adobe Reader combination is supported. Safari 8 and 9 on Mac Adobe Reader 11.0.13 (and higher) and Adobe Reader DC We were trying to set Safari configurations according to the note, but still no luck. Adobe Reader Plug-in in Chrome You could try installing Adobe Reader manually by navigating to this site; Follow the instructions that are on the site and you should have no problem, but please note that at some point you will be prompted to close all opened browsers in order for the setup to be completed. If that doesn't work then what u could do is simple backup all your bookmarks, uninstall chrome and then re-install chrome and restore your book marks back into chrome. See link for backing up your bookmarks; see also for backing up passwords. Adobe Reader Plug-in in Chrome If you are using Google Chrome and the Adobe Reader plug-in is not working properly, you don’t need to install or reinstall the plug-in manually because that plug-in comes or is included as part of the Adobe Reader application.
If you want to reinstall it, just uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader. Download the free version of and install it. Once installed, run Revo Uninstaller then select your Adobe Reader among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process.
When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then install Adobe Reader back.
See if this works. Try also downloading again Adobe Reader from the Adobe website. Go to to get the latest version for your platform. Here, select your correct operating system in “Step 1” and your preferred language in “Step 2”. In “Step 3”, select the version available to your operating system then click “Download now” on the right.
