Once you double click the DMG file it will open as a read only drive and appear under devices, if you then click on the read only drive it has opened as there will either be a.pkg file you can double click which loads an installer menu. If however it is just a single icon or program on it's own, then you need to drag (or copy and paste) it into the applications folder on the computer. Once it has finished copying, you can then eject the mounted read only drive image. Additional instructions here; . So it should just be a case of dragging and dropping the Forticlientupdate.app to the applications folder, then eject the mounted image. You should be able to run it from the application folder. Last but not least, FileZilla Server is a free open source FTP and FTPS Server. Support is available through our forums, the wiki and the bug and feature request trackers. In addition, you will find documentation on how to compile FileZilla and nightly builds.

You were not an admin of the Mac (however unlikely as you should't of been able to drag something to the applications folder. The version of Forticlient is incompatible with the version of MAC OSX you have. Depending on your version of Mac OSX You may need to approve the app the first time it runs in Systems Preferences, Security and Privacy, at the bottom of the General tab it will say if it is being blocked. The app is named Forticlientupdate.app, are you sure it's not for updating a version of the client that's already installed as it has update and not installer in it's name.. Thanks Alex and Tim for your help so far. Ill open a ticket with fortinet, (wont be holding out for an answer:) ) on the Macbook air, running MacOs x, Nothing seems to be blocked, Forticlient doesn't appear to be installed already either.
