Here are five guidelines: • Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible.
How do I clear, unclear, reconcile or unreconcile transactions? NOTE: Changing the status of a reconciled transaction or changing a transaction to reconciled will change the opening balance on the reconciliation, as the reconciliation opening balance is the sum total of all reconciled transactions. I used Quicken 2007 for home and business (Windows version) for 10 years. Tried the upgrade to 2011 but went back to 2007 version as new features were just complications. Now we have switched to Mac computers and bought 2017 Quicken for Mac. Hugely disappointed, can’t even print a reconciliation statement along with the illogical interfaces.
When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English. • Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it.
Disable mac media keys for headphones. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold. • Be concise.
Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.

Click Save and respond to any further questions accordingly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ How to undo a reconciliation: • Choose Banking > Registers. • From the Register Name drop-down select the desired bank account and click OK.
• Find the transactions that need to be unreconciled, one at a time. • To highlight click on the transaction. • Click on the R on the top line of the transaction, which is between the Payment and Deposit or Charge and Payment amount. Clicking in this field will allow you to change the status of the transaction to the desired status from blank = unreconciled to C = Cleared.
• Click on Save. • A message will appear: This transaction has already been reconciled. You should only remove the R if you're correcting a mistake. Are you sure you want to remove the R? click Yes. Continue this process for each transaction on the reconciliation report or statement you want to unreconcile. If an adjusting entry was made for this reconciliation you are unreconciling you'll need to find it and delete it.
