Yamaha Usb Driver For Mac Thr10

I'm trying to hook-up a Yamaha THR10 Usb guitar amp to Garageband. The only way to get sound, unless recording, is to put the 'Input' as Electric Guitar. I'd rather not use this as the signal then goes through a simulated Mac amp. If I use a 'Real Intstument' Input I can only hear the sound after recording not during recording.

I hope no one minds me bumping this. But I am curious to know, now that the dust has settled what folks think about direct recording out the USB of the THR10s. Where to see video card memory for mac. What I want to be able to do is play and simultaneously record out the USB in 24bit to the computer, to use the THR10 to monitor and simultaneously record. I sense that this is possible and it seems that you can have a separate record level and amp vol for monitoring at the same time, is that so? Are people digging the THR10(X/C) for recording guitar tracks?

Will it record 24-bit? I know for example the Zoom G3 is a 24 bit DAC but the interface portion only captures 16 bit, which is a bummer. I've used the THR as an interface. Just choose the driver from the iaudio nterface list in your DAW. It's a very good idea to read the Reaper User Guide ( if you're using Reaper), it's very clear. It's a bit odd listening to playback through the THR's own speakers, but once you've recorded the part you can play back using your normal audio interface.
