They're pretty awesome as Thunderbolt is basically a cable version of PCIx so it works out in the wash, but Driver support is still quite limited on macOS, you can get lucky on the Nvidia side with their CUDA drivers, but they're not updated nearly as often as the PC side. It might sound like I regret staying with Apple on the hardware front, but ultimately, I'm more than happy with what i have. And whatever comes in the future I'll still probably stick with them on hardware anyway.
