Mail Merge Options For A Mac OS X Mail Merge is an absolute godsend when it comes to printing labels and sending mass emails. The feature is offered by many office applications. Mac office torrent. Cannot send emails from Word 2016 for Mac mail merge document. 1 reply 3 have this problem 967 views Last reply by Matt 1 year ago.

I am using Mac OS X 10.8.3. I downloaded Word and Excel for Mac Version 14.2.0. I am trying to use the mail merge feature and every time I choose my Excel spreadsheet (in.xlsx format )as my 'open data source' a pop up window tells me it has to be converted. In choosing every option given to convert, it tells me the file cannot be read.

I tried saving my Excel spreadsheet in.xls format and it still doesn't work. I am sure my Excel spreadsheet is formatted correctly. Is it just not possible with this version of Word and Excel or is my OS dated???? This is driving me crazy.

Hi there, I've been tearing my hair out on this one so thought I'd see if any of you guys could help. Bear in mind I have very basic knowledge of HTML, and the users who I'm trying to train into doing this even less so - they're borderline IT illiterate.

I need to send an email from Dynamics out to 500+ people, who are stored in our CRM database under a custom entity (Donors). Until now all emails have been mostly text based with perhaps a couple of images. All very straight forward to send these out - using Advanced Find to isolate those you want to receive the email, push the mail merge out to Word, construct email there and fire the emails off via Outlook (pushing an activity back into CRM to boot). That works a treat and has done for months. However, this time we need to send out an HTML newsletter and I am utterly stumped.

I've got the HTML code, and paste this into the Word doc during mail merge stage 2 of 4 and send the email to test accounts. One of two things happens: 1) If i simply paste the code into word and proceed, the email isn't converted into an HTML email, just the source code. 2) If I try to create an HTML doc prior to the mail merge and copy it across into Word, it simply sends the image of the newsletter with no hyperlinks included. Thanks, Wayne. Hi Wayne, MS CRM and HTML emails don't really work too well. I don't know whether 2011 will make life easier, but from a practical point of view you best bet might be a 3rd party add on. If you're sending only 500 emails per month, you may find a few affordable solutions.

You may find some workaround to sending HTML emails, but from my experience (and from your HTML issues with the end-users), trying to use MS CRM out the box to send HTML email hasn't worked for out clients either. We have a few (non HTML literate) clients who send a small number of emails to their customers using our product ( ).This also includes the ability to create custom web forms for capturing customer feedback directly into any MS CRM entity (standard or custom), tracking emails opened, links clicked, automated unsubscribe etc. There are many other ISV's that provide similar solutions, just google for bulk email providers for MS CRM. Hope it helped, Karlo Karlo Swart. As far as the Mail Merge process is concerned, I know that the document template you use gets converted into HTML format, but I'm uncertain how putting raw HTML into such a template works.
