In order to remotely wake a Mac over the internet, you will have to open a port on the router you use to access the internet. Since there is a large number of routers on the market, it's impossible for me to cover the process for each individual router in this tutorial. When Wake on Demand is enabled, any Mac on your network running OS X will automatically register itself and its shared items with the Bonjour Sleep Proxy. When a request is made to access a shared item on a Mac running OS X, the Bonjour Sleep Proxy asks that Mac to wake and handle the request. Wake for internet access mac.

Some Mac users have updated from Outlook 2011 to 2016 and now are having troubles connecting to an on premise Exchange server with their credentials. The error is 'Authentication failed. Hi I have just learned after installing Outlook for Mac 2016 that it won't connect to any exchange server older than 2010, My exchange server is through the biggest telco in New Zealand Telecom (now Spark) Business Hub. Its server is 2007 (can you believe that?) so I cannot now get my emails on my MacBook. Can't understand why Microsoft would put such an arbitrary limit on exchange servers 6 years old or more. Can't understand why our biggest telco has a server that old either. So check the date of your exchange server before buying Office for Mac 2016. I can have an pop or imap account apparently but I've heard that these are not suitable for my MacBook and my business.

Can anyone advise on pluses and minuses of both and which I should get if either??? If you haven't dumped outlook 2011 yet, and it works with you provider's System I'd suggest using it for now. Then, If you're a business, I would get on the horn (telephone, or ever how you stay in touch with provider) and let them know. About this change and suggest that they need to upgrade.
